Terms of Service
These terms govern your access to and use of Animably. Please read them carefully before using the Service.
Last updated: July 14, 2026
1. Agreement to terms
By accessing or using Animably (“Animably,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) — including our website, applications, templates, previews, exports, and related services (the “Service”) — you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” includes that organization.
2. The Service
Animably lets you browse motion-graphic templates, customize them (including with brand assets you provide), preview compositions, and export media files subject to plan limits and available features. We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time.
Free and paid plans, credits, export formats, and feature availability are described on our Pricing page and may change. Marketing descriptions are illustrative and do not modify these Terms.
3. Accounts
You may need an account to access certain features. You are responsible for the accuracy of account information and for keeping credentials secure. You must promptly notify us of unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a risk to the Service or other users.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with permission of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.
5. Subscriptions, credits, and payments
Paid plans and credits may be offered through third-party payment processors. By purchasing, you authorize charges under the plan terms shown at checkout. Subscriptions may renew automatically until canceled through your account or the payment provider's portal, unless otherwise stated.
Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly offered by us. Credits, export quotas, and unused allowance do not accrue cash value and may expire according to the plan terms. Taxes may apply based on your location.
6. Licenses and your content
Our content. Templates, compositions, software, branding, and other materials we provide are owned by Animably or our licensors. Subject to these Terms and your plan, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service to create and export customized outputs for your own projects (including commercial projects), unless a specific template or asset states otherwise.
You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or republish Animably templates, compositions, or source assets as standalone stock, competing template libraries, or raw design systems. Exports you create for your own videos, ads, or social posts are fine; selling our uncustomized templates as a product is not.
Your content. You retain ownership of text, images, logos, audio, and other materials you upload or input (“Your Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service (for example, live preview and export).
You represent that you have all rights needed for Your Content and that it does not infringe others' rights or violate law. You are solely responsible for Your Content and for any outputs you generate or distribute.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes
- Infringe intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights of others
- Upload malware, scrape or abuse the Service beyond normal use, or attempt to bypass rate limits, paywalls, or security controls
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source compositions except as allowed by applicable law
- Misrepresent affiliation with Animably or use our marks without permission
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or other users' access
8. AI and automated features
Some features may use automated or AI-assisted matching, generation, or suggestions. Outputs may be imperfect or similar to other users' results. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before publishing. We do not guarantee uniqueness, fitness for a particular purpose, or that AI features will remain available.
9. Third-party services
The Service may integrate with third parties (for example, authentication, payments, storage, or export infrastructure). Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that exports will meet your specific production requirements.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANIMABLY AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO ANIMABLY FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100), EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.
12. Indemnification
You will defend and indemnify Animably and its affiliates against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends, but sections that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity) will survive.
14. Changes to the Terms
We may modify these Terms by posting an updated version and changing the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-product notice when appropriate. Continued use after changes become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Animably operates its Service, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise. Courts in that jurisdiction will have exclusive venue for disputes, to the extent permitted by law.
16. Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Animably regarding the Service. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
